What you do to bring the song to life when performing it on stage?
For me, I love starting off with telling the audience the story behind the song or why I wrote it or now it even came it to existence. Then they have a little perspective before they even hear it and I feel like it brings an even more in depth vulnerability to it. Like I’m letting them in on my secrets. But while performing I really try to just remember what the lyric is and what the emotion behind it needs to convey to people. How would I say it in a conversation? But I also don’t try to overthink it, I try to just put myself in the moment of the song and use my imagination.

What are your thoughts on these performances?
Both my sets at Sundance and Analog Nashville were really exciting for me because I got to introduce 3 completely new songs. 2 of them (Ready & Stripped of You) are songs that I knew would push me on stage and I finally was ready to take that leap. They are from the next wave of tunes coming after my record (finally) drops early spring.
